This is Teddy Lupin, live at the Wizarding Wireless Network's Morning Madhouse, and on the dawn of the much-anticipated champion selection for this year's Triwizard Tournament, we have a very special guest with us this morning. I'd like to extend a very warm welcome to Fleur Delacour-Weasley!
FLEUR:
Bonjour, Teddy, it eez very nice to see you wizzout your tongue down--
TEDDY:
Er, yes, you too, madam! Fleur represented Beauxbatons Academy of Magic at the admittedly disastrous 1994 Tournament, hosted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This year the Tournament is being hosted at the Durmstrang Institute, which is why I'm not there - the Wizarding Wireless doesn't have THAT much money, folks! Now, Fleur, I understand your lovely daughter Victoire is putting herself forward to represent Hogwarts?
FLEUR:
Oui. I can only 'ope that if she is selected, the Tournament will not go as badly as in '94.
TEDDY:
I know who I’ll be rooting for, but if Victoire is selected, who will you be cheering on? Your daughter or your alma mater?
FLEUR:
Beauxbatons will always 'ave a special place in my 'eart, but ultimately my support eez for my daughter.
TEDDY:
Mine too, Fleur, mine too. Do you have any advice for this year's prospective champions?
FLEUR:
Keep on wizz your studies, particularly charms, transfiguration, and defense against ze dark arts. But remember to 'ave fun as well. After all, it eez not every day you are at a foreign school in a foreign country - with foreign boys.
TEDDY:
[laughter]
FLEUR, CONTINUING:
Also, what 'arry Potter showed us in ze '94 Tournament is zat you should theenk outside ze square and play to your strengths. After all, his flying in ze Tournament was magnifique to be'old.
TEDDY:
Thanks for that, Fleur, I agree completely! And to kick off this morning's no repeat workday we've got an old classic from Celestina Warbeck, “You Charmed the Heart Right Out of Me”, right here on the Wizarding Wireless Network.
FLEUR, IN FRENCH, OVER THE INTRODUCTION TO THE SONG:
Oh, I hate this song!
CELESTINA WARBECK, SINGING:
Oh, my poor heart, where has it gone? It's left me for a spell...
