Title: On the Outfield
What: High School Musical oneshot
Rating: K+
Words: 794
Summary: Ryan is always the first person to notice anything about Gabriella, so it's no surprise that he's the one to start scheming to get her and Troy back together at the Talent Show. "After all, he learnt from the best." Ryan/Gabriella with background Troy/Gabriella.
Notes: I know nothing about baseball. Originally written August 2007.

Sample: Gabriella's a truly pathetic fielder. )

Title: What Comes Next
What: Digimon Tamers fanfiction with bizarre links to the real world by the names of Orikasa Fumiko, Tsumura Makoto, and Yamaguchi Mayumi
Rating: G
Words: 5942
Summary: When you save the world naked on national television, the world wants a piece of you in return, and once you let the world in, the world won't go away. Jen-centric genfic, with the 'real' stories behind Tag Tamers and Santamon o Sagase.
Notes: Originally written in October 2007. The kids' ages are messed with a bit - the Primary Colors are thirteen to fourteen and Ryo turns sixteen in this - and so is the Japanese school system, whoops. The closest brush with fame I've had is signing autographs for small children in a food court after a few shows of a moderately successful Disney musical (I wish I could say I was kidding) so apologies for the likely glaring inaccuracies in the fame game my Tamers play. The photographer Jen encounters is a bit of an RPG in-joke, Meiling is a more obscure theatre in-joke involving the earlier mentioned musical and is pretty much saying hello and introducing herself. My endless apologies to the voice actresses.

Sample: I don't know what we'll do when school starts again. )

Title: Supposedly an Epic Quest
What: original short story using [livejournal.com profile] vincent_kinneas' Jonathan Marinaris and [livejournal.com profile] the_firedoor's Eleanor Ingleson and Taje Tuesday and mentioning [livejournal.com profile] the_firedoor's Brianna Aberdeen. cheers
Rating: M for too many F words to make PG13
Words: 1800 total
Summary: Ophelia Strike hits Rockquest and everyone's on their own quest for something that ain't rock. Second person rules and Wellington references run free while I completely jump the gun on a lot of things.
Notes: Originally written July 2007. Adapted into a screenplay August 2011.
Alternate links: Livejournal
Sample: Stage fright and not quite last minute panicking don’t happen to YOU. Stage fright and not quite last minute panicking happen to OTHER people. )

Title: A Beat Behind
What: original screenplay adapted from "Supposedly An Epic Quest" thus using [livejournal.com profile] vincent_kinneas' Jonathan Marinaris and [livejournal.com profile] the_firedoor's Taje Tuesday and mentioning [livejournal.com profile] the_firedoor's Brianna Aberdeen
Rating: M for too many F words to make PG13
Words: 1280
Summary: Ophelia Strike hits Rockquest and it is not treating Julian well.
Notes: Written in August 2011 for a screenwriting assignment limited to four scenes and no more than three characters per scene, which is why bits from the original have been cut and the last scene is different (and feels a bit cut off: I'd wanted to go on but needed to bring back more than one character). Screenwriting is weird.
Alternate link: Livejournal, Google Docs (screenplay format)
Sample: Julian flops down by Brendan’s backpack and starts going through it, flinging books, sheet music, drum sticks, a scarf across the room... )
